Welcome to Metal of Death, the meanest metal zine on the web.
While perhaps not the first or only (though I personally don't know of any other) metal zine dedicated entirely to negative reviews, we pride ourself in being the most fanatic. That's we are all about. We are perhaps the last unconquerable bulwark against the force of everything modern and false corrupting the sacred immortal spirit of true metal. It is in order to maximize efficiency in our efforts that we dedicate this site entirely to negative reviews.

As a special service to our dedicated readers we introduced a voting system in which you can decide which reviews or articles are particularly spot-on, and your votes will shape a top ten list on this front page (look a little to the right and you'll instantly spot it). We do this as an insurance to you that we will always do our best to speak the absolute and undeniable truth about the failures of modern metal, as a form of quality control for our own reviews. We encourage you all to vote to help in our struggle against everything false. Oh, just another tiny detail... Those of you intelligent enough to read this welcome message should know that you can only effectively vote "Yes". Clicking on the "No"-button will redirect you to something unpleasant.
There is one more detail I feel is important to mention. We try our best not to include reviews for metalcore/deathcore releases into our site, because that would go far beyond "stating the obvious" - that unenviable dead horse has been smashed into its tiniest molecules by now. Of course one or the other review on a release from that particular genre might still sneak in rare occasions we promise not to make a habit out of even dignifying that nonsense with reviews.
Note: Metal of Death endorses and supports all forms of physical violence committed against those who profess appreciation for any of Ihsahn's musical ventures of the past ten years and is willing to reward it with free promos and/or demos in exchange for convincing written accounts - preferably with pictures of the results - of such acts.
